Art Lives Here creates opportunities for artists and provides access to art in communities that are often excluded by organizing meaningful public art installations, exhibitions, performances and arts programming to people where they live and work. Artists thrive in a community and a thriving arts community is good for society.

Friday April 4, 2025 - Artist talk at the Spring Salon - Carol Paik & Amy Greco, A walk through of the exhibition at 4:30 pm. The artist talk will start at 5:15 pm

Tuesday April 22, 2025 - CB 11 Earth Day Celebration at El Museo del Barrio,10:am - 2:00 pm Participating artists: Capucine Bourcart - The Blanket, knitting with plastic Bags. Elizabeth McAlpin - Giant Chess, playing with a set created utilizing plastic bottles and plastic bags. Susan Stair - Trashion Show which will take place at 12:30 pm. A performance by the Matthew Westerby Dance Company at 1:00 pm

Saturday May 3 & Sunday May 4 - East Harlem Open Studios - Co-hosted by Art Lives Here and the artists with studio practices in East Harlem. Studio Buildings are located at 180 East 118th Street with studios on the 2nd and 3rd Floor. 345 East 104th Street, 1914 Third Avenue, 1950 Third Avenue, 176 East 106th Street, Julio de Burgos Cultural Center 1680 Lexington Avenue, 183 East 107th Street.

Saturday May 17, 2025 - Artist Talk at the Spring Salon Bascove, Karin Bruckner, & Liz Curtin. A walk through of the exhibition at 3:00 pm followed by an interactive discussion with the artist at 3:30 pm.

The Art Salon: is hosted by Art Lives Here founder, Connie Lee in her home gallery. Following the tradition of art salons, Lee organizes, interactive artist talks, round table discussions, and process demonstrations alongside a curated installation of works created by members of the Art Lives Here community. The salon is an opportunity for collectors, colleagues, and invited guests to see the work up-close and engage in meaningful discussions with participating artists.

The home gallery is not open for walk ins. Invited guests are known to us, the artists with work on view, or have been recommended by a member of the ALH extended community. Visitors can schedule a convenient time to visit the gallery, appointments are required.
