Cross Pollination: An Exchange of Ideas, brings together the work of contemporary abstract painters in the collaborative exhibition, between two popular New York City based arts organizations in The Great Hall at The First Presbyterian Church in NYC.
The curatorial team, led by Connie Lee, with Barbara Sherman and Beth Barry began the selection process by researching hundreds of artists that are members of Art Lives Here and the New York Artist Circle to discover site responsive works that hold their own within the architectural importance and verticality of the Great Hall. Light filters through the ornate windows that tower above the gallery space. Bonnie Ford Woit’s large scale painting, Ironwoods, Hawaii, 1985 was the starting point for the exhibition that features 8 artists in a group show. The space adjacent to the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church NYC has supported the arts since 2006.
Participating Artists:
Beth Barry, Robin Feld, Suejin Jo, James Manfredonia, Tomo Mori, Petra Nimtz, Avani Patel and Bonnie Ford Woit.
