ARTIST STATEMENT:

My creative interests involve listening to objects and tuning them in relation to each other. I am constantly refining my capacity to hear. It takes discernment to choose what to engage and what to ignore. With previous projects I worked with erasers, pins, frosting, paper and fabric. Recently I have turned my full attention to creating objects made out of cut and stapled photographs; a series I’m calling “Roundels”. The materials are simple and charged and they speak to me in ways that are both urgent and surprising.
