ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Hollie Heller is a multifaceted collage artist who divides her time between New York City and Costa Rica. Her masterful works are largely inspired by materials collected on her travels. Heller’s knowledge of design, textiles and weaving allow her to make the most of the materials she finds. Although steeped in said traditional methods of making, she is constantly experimenting and testing the limits of ordinary materials. Heller has been teaching surface design and collage for over twenty years, her students provide a wealth of inspiration for her. 

Bio:

Heller’s work is in public collections across the U.S. and she has been regularly featured in solo exhibitions in her home state of New Jersey. She has also participated in group shows in the U.S. and internationally.

Heller holds an M.F.A. in Weaving and Textile Design, minor in Painting, from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY and a B.S. in Art Education, minor in Textile Design, University of Delaware, Newark, DE.
