SILVIA BATTISTUZZI
Based in Buenos Aires Argentina
B Buenos Aires, Argentina
ARTIST STATEMENT:
My work is informed by the subjective and interpersonal relationships that I establish with places. It is linked to those stories and experiences. I am primarily a painter, but I also work with photography, installations and art objects.
I am most interested in how people relate to their environment, nature; with its contingencies. I elicit the power to resist with simple objects in a close and vital experience. I often use waste material in a concrete or allegorical way, thus repurposing them as an object that would have been otherwise discarded.
