DONNELLY MARKS

Donnelly Marks

Based in Queens, NY

B. 1954 New York City

ARTIST STATEMENT:

Paint and graphite glide on the surface. Mark making accompanied by internal words flow as intuitively as the paint. Cutting, stapling and sculptural gestures are vigorous creating abstractions as real as the real world – metaphors for loss, love, faith and the shared human experience.
